EXAMINATION AND DEPOSITION: Removal of Ellin Williams, aged 26 widow and her child aged 14 months from pa. Llanfihangel Esceifiog to pa. Llanrhug [Llanrug] in co. Carnarvonshire.
The Examinant stated that she was the widow of John Williams, a miner, who had died in April at Holyhead, where they were living. She believed that her husband's place of settlement was in pa. Llanrhug [Llanrug] in Co. Carnarvon. Anne Jones, the mother of the late John Williams stated that her son had been born, illegitimate, 25 years ago at Glyn afon in pa. Llanrhug. [Llanrug] He had not gained legal settlement in his own right. Thomas Jones, Assistant Overseer of the pa. Llanfihangel Esceifiog produced a certificate of chargeability for the examinant.
