Scope and Content

EXAMINATION BEFORE REMOVAL: William Williams aged 24, who had become chargeable to pa. Llanidan.

The Examinant was 24 years of age and was the son of John Williams and Margaret his wife and had not gained settlement in his own right. William Williams, of Tyddyn Nathaniel, assistant overseer of pa. Llanidan produced a Certificate of Chargeability for William Williams and stated that in 1849 the above named pauper was one of the five children of John Williams and his wife Margaret who were removed with their parents from pa. Llanidan to pa. Llechylched.

Joseph Davies, the Medical Officer for pa. Llanidan stated that the pauper was too ill with scrofula to attend the Examination and believed that he would be permanently disabled.
