Scope and Content

EXAMINATION AND DEPOSITION: Hugh Owen of pa. Tregaean re. his place of settlement that he is now chargeable to pa. Tregaean and receiving four shillings a week relief. His place of settlement was in pa. St.Peter, Newborough where he was born the son of Owen Hughes and his wife Grace both now deceased of Tanylan. He had received relief from pa. Newborough on several occasions including for funeral expenses when his daughter Catherine died.

EXAMINATION AND DEPOSITION: Robert Roberts of Bryn Crin in pa. Tregaean, one of the Overseers of the poor of the pa. Tregaean that the said Hugh Owen and his wife Ellen had become chargeable to the parish since March 25.

Medical certificate to say that Ellen Roberts of Tynycoed, pa. Tregaean was unfit to be removed because of high fever.
