Examination of Robert Luke of Brynteg in the Parish of Llanfihangel Escofiog, Mary Pritchard of Pentre Berw in the parish of Llanidan and Richard Williams, assistant overseer. Robert Luke states that Jane Roberts is the wife of his son David Luke otherwise Roberts, a collier. David Luke deserted Jane Roberts and went to Australia a few months ago. Robert Luke's settlement is in the Parish of Llangristious derived from his great grandfather, although he does not know how. He has received relief from both Llangristiolus and Llanfihangel. Mary Luke Pritchard states that she is the older sister of Robert Luke She confirms their father and mother both received relief from Llangristiolus until his death at the age of 71, and her death later.
