Scope and Content

EXAMINATION AND DEPOSITION: Removal of Hugh Morris from pa. Cerrigceinwen to pa. Conway in co. Carnarvon.

The examinant stated that in 1823 he and his wife, Margaret and family had been removed from pa. Llangefni to pa. Conway in Co. Carnarvon. The Overseers of Conway agreed to pay the rent if they returned to pa. Llangefni and some relief. This continued for several years when the rent was discontinued but relief was given for his daughter Jane because of her health.

The depositions of David Thomas, overseer of pa. Cerrigceinwen who also enclosed a certificate of chargeability and the Examination of Robert Hughes, Assistant Overseer of the pa. Llangefni were taken. The certificate names Hugh Morris aged 62 years and his wife Catherine aged 54 years
