Scope and Content

EXAMINATION AND DEPOSITION: Richard Morris otherwise called Richard Davies re. his place of legal settlement. The examinant had not gained settlement in his own right .He married his wife Margaret in pa. Pentraeth in 1831 and had three children. He was the legitmate son of Owen Davies and Margaret Morris who had legal settlement in pa. Tregaean but he recollected living in pa. Llanddyfnan as a child and also his mother Margaret Morris and one of the children, Timothy being removed from pa. Llanedwen to pa. Tregaean.

EXAMINATION AND DEPOSITION: John Jones that the signatures on the removal order of 1801 were those of William Peacock and Henry Rowlands.

EXAMINATION AND DEPOSITION of. Timothy Davies of pa. Prestatin [Prestatyn] in Co.Flintshire that his father had left Liverpool before Richard was born but that there was an Irish lodger named Patrick Doyle residing there.

NOTICE: From Robert Roberts of Bryn Crin in pa. Tregayan that Richard Morris and his wife Margaret and two children had been removed under an order dated 1840 from pa. Llanbedrgoch to pa. Tregaean and that there was a penciled note in the margin to indicate that the order had been quashed.

EXAMINATION AND DEPOSITION of. Jonnet Thomas, singlewoman of pa. Pentraeth re. the place of settlement of Richard Morris otherwise known as Richard Davies .The examinant stated that she was present at the marriage of Owen Davies and Margaret Morris in pa. Llanbedrgoch in 1796 and also saw Margaret with the pauper when he was an infant at the house of Catherine, Margaret`s sister in Liverpool.
