Scope and Content

These folders contain correspondence, memos, official papers and a copy of the Official Report of the Parliamentary Debates.

Administrative / Biographical History

This collection features materials relating to the 1954 House of Commons debate over the Theatrical Companies Bill and the accusations made by Labour MP Woodrow Wyatt: namely that Binkie Beaumont and the Tennent companies were legally using the bill to their advantage and creating a theatrical monopoly which their competitors couldn't compete with.
