Blanket-in-a-day was a challenge set to blanket workers at the mill to get from sheep to fully finished blanket in one day. The original record was set by Early's workers in 1906, when workers completed the entire process - starting with shearing a sheep - in 10 hours and 27 minutes. The attempt in 1969 went one better, not only completing the blankets, but having them flown to New York in the allotted 24 hour time limit!
