(a) 'The Josephine Butler Centenary. A Public meeting will be held on Tuesday May 15 at 2.15pm in St William's College. Speaker Dame Edith Lyttelton DBE. Subject: 'Josephine Butler, Her work in the past and in the present'. Chairman: His Grace The Lord Archbishop of York. Supported by the Sheriff of York and others followed by a service in the minster Preacher at 3.30 The Archbishop of York. All are cordially invited. Admission free. Collection at service.'

(b) 'Josephine Butler Centenary. A commemoration meeting will be held in the Haslemere Hall, on Monday May 21 at 8pm in honour of Josephine Butler. Speaker Miss Alison Neilans. Chairman: Major Gen Sir John Daniell KCMG. There will be a special commemoration service at the Haslemere Parish Church on Sunday May 20 at 3pm. Preacher: The Rev DE Seccombe Secretary White Cross League. All Denominations have been invited to take part in this Service'

(c) 'Josephine Butler Centenary. A special service of commemoration and thanksgiving will be held in Rochester Cathedral (by permission of the Dean and Chapter) on Friday 22 Jun at 3.30pm. Preacher: the Rev EC Trenholme'
