Scope and Content

Consists of:

- correspondence relating to the recommendation to lower the age of consent from 16 to 14 years (for example with Penal Affairs Committee, the Albany Trust, The Quakers)

- resolutions passed by the Josephine Butler Society in 1972 (opposed to lowering the age of consent from 16)
