Scope and Content

Consists of:

- correspondence with organisations and individuals on the subject of legalised brothels: National Housewives Association in Yorkshire (1978); Haldane Society of Socialist Lawyers (1983); photocopies of letters with Derek Prentice, secretary of Association of London Authorities (1987); leaflets of the Association of Libertarian Feminists (1986), copy of report by Mothers' Union on 'Prostitution (the legalisation of brothels)' (1992); MPs eg Teresa Gorman (some with press cuttings attached), comments by Joyce Ansell on behalf of the Josephine Butler Society on Mothers' Union prostitution report
