Scope and Content

Cairo Committee of the Association for Moral and Social Hygiene was established to carry out Miss Higson's campaign of 1930 and required a worker to represent the Association in Egypt. Miss Potter was appointed to lead an intensive educational campaign to influence Egyptian public opinion in favour of abolishing licensed houses in Egypt and to press for a Commission of Inquiry on licensed houses and traffic in women to be set up by the Egyptian Government
