Administrative / Biographical History

The Honourable Society of Cymmrodorion was founded in 1751 with the purpose of patronising the arts, literature and sciences in Wales. It was revived in 1873 and was given a Royal Charter in 1951. The Society of Cymmrodorion, Haverfordwest, (Cymdeithas Cymmrodorion Hwlffordd) was active throughout most of the 20th century.
