Letter from Sir James Mc Grigor to Dr. Thomson. Regarding the Scarlatina outbreak in Petershead. Mentions Dr. Jameson and Dr. Forbes and chicken pox. Mentions approximate death rate from smallpox. Mentions Aberdeen Medical Society [Mc Grrigor was one of its original institutors 30 years (1790) earlier] and gives a list of members which includes the Principal Practitioners from Dundee to John O'Groats. Also mentions Dr. Skene[?] in Aberdeen. Peterhead, 16th August 1820.
