The Rag Trade was a television comedy series, created for the BBC and originally broadcast between 1961 and 1963. New episodes were created for ITV and broadcast between 1977 and 1978. The series was written by Ronald Wolfe and Ronald Chesney.
The series was set in a London textile factory and featured the inter-action between the factory owner and the workforce. The BBC series starred Peter Jones, Reg Varney, Esme Cannon, Sheila Hancock and Miriam Karlin. Only Jones and Karlin appeared in the ITV series, alongside Anna Karen and Christopher Beeny.
