Life with the Lyons was a situation comedy series starring a real-life American family headed by film actors Ben Lyons and his wife, the actress, singer and dancer Bebe Daniels. The show began on the BBC radio in 1950 and lasted until 1961. A BBC television version began in 1955, and moved to ITV from 1956 to 1960.
The series concerned the adventures of Lyons and Daniels, along with their children, who had left America to settle in London. Molly Weir also featured as their housekeeper. Although scripted, the series was often inspired by real life events. Daniels co-wrote episodes of the series, alongside Ronald Hanbury and Bob Block.
The scripts are all originals.
