Copy letter from Walter Crane to John Lane. Crane quotes Lane's letter of 8th August 1907 [ WCA/2/1/2/8/59 ], and writes: 'I really do not understand why you should give me so much worry. The matter is quite simple & straight forward - my contract is to supply you with the books did not include the binding which is not on the estimates. P.S of course if you like to settle the matter by paying me at the rate of 4d a copy I can include the binding.'
