• Books used during her time at the GWSCDS relating to cookery, upholstery, embroidery, dressmaking, sewing and household management (15 items) 1888-1928
• Certificates/diplomas awarded to Christina Bell (5 items) 1915-1919
• 1 miniature bed (57cm x 30.5cm), 1 miniature mattress and 1 miniature pillow (3 items)
• Cloth items made by Christina Bell including bedding for the miniature bed, uniform cuffs, lace work, samples, bags and cases and other domestic cloth items (25 items)
• 3 postcards of GWSCDS, Park Drive, 1 advertisement for course of GWSCDS superior household demonstrations (April 1922) (4 items) c1922

Christina Wight Bell was born in 1897 and was theoldest child of Thomas Bell and Jane Wight, the others being Alexander,Helen (Tibby), William and Thomas. Their father had a textile mill,Damncroft Mill, in Peebles, Borders, Scotland. The family in time movedto Ayr, Scotland, and then Kilmarnock, Scotland, and Christina, or Chrissieasshe was known, attended the Glasgow & West of Scotland College ofDomesticScience as a Diploma student from 1916 to 1919. She went on to marryJohnKennedy on Boxing Day 1929 and had three children Jean, Gilbert and Roy.During her time as a teacher she taught at Newton Park School in Ayr,SpeirsSchool in Beith, North Ayrshire, Scotland, and Beith Academy. Christinadiedin 1981.
