Scope and Content

Static camera at a mid-distance. Can see whole of stage. Recorded music. Set, backdrop curtain and set wings. Performance begins in darkness then becomes lighting brighter. When the lighting is very bright it is difficult to see the dancers as their outlines are indistinct and they appear as glowing white figures. It is not possible to distinguish costumes or choreography clearly, however the movements are fast with many different groupings. At the end 2 dancers are onstage dancing to synthesized sound. Lighting changes in time with music changes at 00:03:14, 00:04:48, 00:08:54 and 00:12:03. Note: despite title [taken from VHS label] the small stage in the venue does not look like the main Sadler’s Wells Theatre – it may be the smaller Lillian Baylis Theatre next door.

Condition note: Picture blurred. Sound Problems. Over bright lighting.

VHS duration section: 00:01:16 - 00:16:02
