Scope and Content

Static camera at a far distance. Filmed from back of stalls, dress circle above cuts off top of stage. Choreography clear and picture quality good however because the camera is set up at a far distance from the stage the detail of dancers and costumes cannot be seen. Start to 00:48:34 Prelude and Prologue sections. After interval - 00:49:05 – end the tales: The Knight’s Tale; The Wife of Bath’s Prologue; The Wife of Bath’s Tale; The Man of Law’s Tale; The Miller’s Tale. Live music often with traditional instruments such as the lute. Narrator on stage also speaks extracts from Geoffrey Chaucer’s The Canterbury Tales periodically. Colour projections used. Costumes medieval style. Props include swords.
