Scope and Content

Static camera at far distance. Filmed from left back of stalls. Filmed over two days. Auditorium lights switched on meaning production desk, back of seats and floor of stalls circle visible. Difficult to see stage and dancers due to angle and distance of camera and lights being on in auditorium. Can see technical staff and hear them talking throughout rehearsal. Dancers in costume. Approx. 00:05:00 – 00:37:30 practise of prelude section with blue and white lighting. Set features projections on backcloth with a large board in front with a rectangle cut out as a doorway. This board is moved left and right during performance to frame the projections. The dancers use the doorway as an entrance and exit point. Live music and narration. 00:39:50 – 00:45:45 dancers, choreographer Christopher Bruce and technical staff take a break. Tape stops recording 00:40:45 – 00:45:50. 00:40:50 – 01:27:27 practise The Knight’s Tale.
