Letters relating to the complaint of Anna Haycraft (aka the writer Alice Ellis) about the reference to her deceased son in a Beryl Bainbridge interview with the Daily Telegraph. Also refers to Colin Haycraft, who was Bainbridge’s publisher and Anna Haycraft’s husband. The correspondence develops into a dispute between Anna Haycraft and Bainbridge about Colin Haycraft’s role in the development of Bainbridge’s career and his support for her.
