Consideration: payment of rents, &c.
Parcels a kiln and part of an orchard and a garth called Ashgarth, Broadclose, 4 acres, the pinfold close, 2 acres, the Lepershaw close, 4 acres, the Lepershaw Leys, 2 acres, West royd, 1 & 1/2 acres, and 6 acres 20 per. of arable in the fields of Colton, being parcel of the manor of T.N. Except timber, quarries and mines, save wood for repairs;
Term 21 years
Rent £8. 1s. 6d. a year payable at Pentecost and St.Martin's;
£5 a year for every acre plowed, eyred, broken up or converted into tillage during the last 3 years without licence first obtained, other than such parts of the arable land as lie in the common fields; 1 capon and 1 hen on 1st Jan.
Covenants for re-entry if rent unpaid for 20 days or premises
assigned without licence;
2. to pay rents and taxes;
for repair and good husbandry;
for quiet enjoyment;
suit of court and mill;
2. to plant 6 oak, ash or elm trees and to carry one ruckle or wainload of coal to Temple Newsam mansion house;
to keep a greyhound or spaniel;
for quiet enjoyment.
