Scope and Content

1 Edward Cook of West Lilling yeoman and Jane his wife daughter of George Richardson and Phillipa who was the daughter and devisee of George Cattel.

2. Robert Coal of Towthorpe yeoman, executor of Thomas Coal.

3. Rt.Hon Charles Lord Viscoun Irwin

Recitals Agreement that (3) should purchase certain premises in West Lilling for £250

Mortgage of 4 May 1765 (q.v.) of a moiety of the premises to Thomas Cole to secure repayment of £60

Witnessed that for £60 to discharge the mortgage and £190 paid to Edward Cook, the messuage cottage &c. with the Garth orchard and croft and 3 acres of land in West Lilling and also the pasture gate in the common pasture and the average gate in one of the fields were released to the said Charles Lord Irwin his heirs and assigns for ever.
