Scope and Content

1. Sir Arthur Ingram did not owe the Crown £13,800 because the quota had been reduced, he himself was given a free hand with the foreign vend and finally in 1623 foreign vend production was cancelled, though some alum was exported to pay the workmen.

2. The King's £10,000 and more has been spent on the works.

3. The Royal Indenture of 14 Feb. 1621, cancelled £13,250 forfeitures for 1615 detailed in the charge.

4. Early losses were the result of Sir John Bourchier's mis-management.

5. Sir Arthur is not guilty of breach of covenant.
