Scope and Content

Operated camera. Not continuous footage, edited together. Education Project - the 'Pulcinella Project' is a collaboration between Ballet Rambert and Opera North in which 30 6th form students from schools around Leeds worked with Sarah Rudridge (Education Officer, Rambert Dance Company) and Jack Glover (Composer and Musician) to create a work inspired by 'Pulcinella'. The series of 5 videos were commissioned by Yorkshire Arts Association: Exploring Processes in Dance. 00:00:00 rehearsal of dance work by young people. 00:52:05 - 02:04:37 lecture demonstration by Richard Alston. He discusses the creation of and history if the music and danceworks 'Pulcinella' and works with young people in their dance rehearsal. Rambert Dance Company dancers demonstrate movements during the lecture demonstration. 01:43:23 Alston and the dancers takes part in a question and answer with the workshop participants. 02:04:38 dance rehearsal by young people.
