Manuscript letter. Written from Rustington. Dated 20 May, no year, but pencil inscription of 1888. She writes having attended two 'most interesting' meetings regarding the Contagious Diseases Act and the 'awful abominations' being carried out in India. She has written to Colonel Duncan and asks her mother Mrs Newson Garrett to write to Colonel Austruther and W Thompson for their support in the repeal of the act.
