Administrative / Biographical History

The Scottish Milk Publicity Council Limited was formed in 1954  and incorporated in 1957  . It was commonly referred to as the Scottish Dairy Council and it acted as a means of focusing milk advertising strategies in the media. It consisted of representatives from dairy producing and wholesale firms throughout Scotland. It was dissolved in March 1995  following the deregulation of the milk industry.
