informs that he has been unlawfully charged with 3s. 4d. unto the King; says his father bought the house in which he dwells some fifty years since from Mr. Ravenscrofte and holds it in knight service, and that they were never questioned before; his cousin Roger Salesburye has been similarly charged and John Chambers with 1 mark; asks his advice as to how best to proceed. 10 May 1609.
