Robinson Ellis (1834-1913) was Corpus Christi Professor of Latin at Oxford, 1893-1913. Details are given in the Dictionary of National Biography.

Acquisition Information
The papers were given to the Library by the President of Trinity College, Oxford in 1915, except for MS. Lat. misc. d. 46, fols. 147-157, which were given to the Library in 1917.
