The papers of BSR (JRF Deposit) comprise those records relating to Seebohm Rowntree that came to the Joseph Rowntree Foundation (then the Joseph Rowntree Memorial Trust) in the 1970s, together with later papers collected by the JRF. Originally these were catalogued as two groups. The first group of records was catalogued by JRF Librarian Elizabeth Jackson in 1980 as 'Papers of Benjamin Seebohm Rowntree held by Joseph Rowntree Foundation'. When additional records later came to light, these were catalogued by Jackson in 1993 under the heading BSR93 as part of the 'Joseph Rowntree Foundation Historical Archive: Material on the Rowntree Family, Company and Trusts'.
With the permission of the JRF these two lists have now been brought together as one catalogue, although original references are shown as 'alternate identifiers' throughout (either BSR80 or BSR93).
