Administrative / Biographical History
The Royal National Eisteddfod of Wales, today, is held annually on alternate years in various locations in north and south Wales. In 1861 the festival was held at Conwy in Caernarfonshire.
Only two entries were received in the competition for an essay on the topic of Conwy and its surroundings in the 1861 National Eisteddfod.
