1936 Aug. 6 LETTER: R. Hughes Roberts, Gwydryn, Brynsiencyn to Dr H. Buckland Jones, he was surprised to hear about the slum clearance order. He went to see the sanitary inspector and his opinion about the order was that the spaces at the back of the houses are very small.

1936 Nov. 4 LETTER: Benjamin Evans, Aethwy Rural District Council to Dr H. Buckland Jones re. Plough and Mount Pleasant. Once they have received instructions from the Ministry of Health owners will be notified of the principle reasons why the Council have applied for confirmation of the clearance orders.
1937 Jan. 5 LETTER: H. H. George, Ministry of Health, Whitehall. The Minister of Health has instructed one of his inspectors to hold an enquiry into the application by Aethwy Rural District Council

1937 Jan. 21 LETTER: Nora, Mona, Bodffordd to Howe, [Dr Howell Buckland Jones] She and Mr Roberts went to the enquiry last Tuesday. The inspector was a nice man and fair. [She gives details of the proceedings and asks him to send receipts for repairs to the Ministry]
