Scope and Content

From the General Committee of the Primitive Methodist Connexion, to William Garner, appointing him their delegate to the Sunderland District Meeting to be held in Darlington, Co. Durham on 21 April 1838. He must attend without fail, and ensure that the necessary business is transacted.

William Clowes and [John] Flesher have taken the district book and 'checks' to deliver to Garner at Swinefleet in Lincolnshire. Both these gentlemen were present at the meeting which decided to send Garner to Darlington.

There follows a detailed set of instructions for the guidance of delegates.
