Continuing Patterns of Awareness series, Michael O' Connor examines the work of Interiors International and its Sales Director Monty Bergman. Furnishings on Show illustrates a variety of ranges, and British Floor Show precedes a promotion of Cecil Gee's chain of menswear shops.

Lead feature is based on Private View (by Bryan Robertson and John Russell, with photographers by Lord Snowdon) a guide to modern British art. It reproduces pictures of selected artists and also some paintings first shown in the 1953 Institute of contemporary Arts' Exhibition of Painting into Textiles (see 1953 Nov in AAD/1987/1/28) with notes on subsequent industrial uses.
