Salop County Savings Bank founded in 1818 in the town of Shrewsbury

Salop County and Abbey Parish merged in 1839 to become Salop County & Town

Salop Savings Bank amalgamated with Welshpool Savings Bank in 1915

Newcastle-under-Lyme Savings Bank amalgamated with Salop & Welshpool Savings Bank in 1917

In 1925 became Salop & Welsh Countines Savings Bank

In 1937 became West Midlands TSB
