Administrative / Biographical History

W.G. Hargrave, a 2nd Lieutenant with the Royal Engineers and later a 2nd Lieutenant with the RFC (Royal Flying Corps) and RAF (Royal Air Force), served as the official photographer to General Smuts during the East Africa campaign. He was killed in action in May 1918.
