Papers of Constance Trollope including correspondence, dated 1930-1950, relating to the death of her brother, Mark Napier Trollope, Bishop in Korea, and the research, publication and reception of her book Mark Napier Trollope, Bishop in Corea, 1911-1930 , published in 1936. Includes original correspondence of Mark Napier Trollope, 1879-1930.

Constance Trollope was the sister of Mark Napier Trollope, Bishop in Korea, 1911-1930. She worked as Organising Secretary of the Korean Mission in 1916. She died on 4 Sep 1954. Mark Napier Trollope was born in 1862. He was ordained into the priesthood in 1888, and arrived as a missionary in Korea in 1891. He was consecrated as Third Bishop in Korea on 25 July 1911. He died on board ship in Kobe harbour, Japan, on 6 November 1930.

These collections now form part of the University's Special Collections Department and are available for consultation at the Main Library on the University's Edgbaston Campus.
