Aerial mosaic photographs of Swansea, 1946. These aerial mosaic photographs of Swansea from Morriston to Mumbles were taken by the Royal Air Force in March 1946. They were either commissioned or subsequently purchased by the Swansea Corporation Borough Engineer and Surveyors Department and bound into volumes for ease of reference. Each volume covers a strip of land running east-westS/BE/100/hub

Ordnance Survey aerial photographs prepared from Air Photographs taken by the R.A.F, March 1946. Approximate scale 1:1250 or about 50 inches to 1 mile. The aerial photographs have been catalogued in more detail using National Grid references.S/BE/101/hub

This collection of photographs records various aspects of engineering work which was carried out by the Engineers Department of the Borough of Swansea. This includes properties designated for demolition, the development of new road layouts, and building works. The subjects covered are all within the pre-1974 boundaries of the City of Swansea. NB.
