Administrative / Biographical History
William John Watts (fl 1923-1991) entered the Overseas Civil Service in 1947and was posted to Malaya. He was Secretary for Chinese Affairs for the stateof Kedah in the early 1950s, District Officer for Jelebu, 1954-1955, andDeputy Secretary, Ministry of the Interior and Justice, Federation of Malayauntil 1959. He then entered H.M. Diplomatic Service, serving in the Far Eastand in Kenya until his retirement in 1981.
