The scripts are typescript copies that are sent in to North West Playwrights for reading. Each script is read by two readers, anonymously, who compile reports. One report is end to the writer, another to the Committee/Board. Scripts may be recommended for workshopping, if not some other constructive suggestions are usually made. The scripts are usually requested without the author's name, but some writers choose to leave their names on.

Scope and Content
Arrangement
The scripts had not been arranged, and this collection represents a tiny proportion of those handled by North West Playwrights. Writers sending in their scripts can have them returned on payment of postage and so many do. For ease of reference the scripts have been listed in alphabetical order of title.
