Lipton Ltd held 50% of the company and 4 of the Finlay Group tea companies, as well as James Finlay & Co itself, held the remaining 50% of shares: Amalgamated Tea & Lands Co (18%); Kanan Devan Co (9%); Anglo-American Co (9%); African Highlands Produce Co (9 per cent); and James Finlay & Co (5%). The company was dissolved in 1998 .
