Scope and Content

Deeds, documents and business papers, 1843-1955, of the Evans family of Neuaddfawr and Rhydyronen, p. Llanfihangel Genau'r Glyn, Cardiganshire, together with poor rate books for the township of Trefeurig in the parish of Llanbadarn Fawr, [1850s]-[1860s] and an account book of Seion Independent Chapel in the township of Ceulan-a-Maesmor, 1857-1872.

Administrative / Biographical History

Biographical details are sketchy in the extreme. Issac Evans of Rhydyronen, farmer, entered into a partnership agreement in 1878, to sell milk in London; the agreement was dissolved in 1881. David I. Evans of Neuaddfawr was a family butcher during at least the period 1932-1937. Evan Llewelyn Evans lived at Neuaddfawr in 1983.
