Administrative / Biographical History

The Earls of Clarendon represented in this collection are Edward Hyde, 1st Earl of Clarendon of the first creation; Thomas Villiers, 1st Earl of Clarendon of the second creation (1709-1786); and George William Frederick Villiers, 4th Earl of Clarendon (1800-1870), Lord Lieutenant of Ireland.
