The House and Catering Sub-Committee was responsible for the physical upkeep of the Club building (House), organising and approving repairs, installing heating, decoration etc. It was also responsible for the Club's dining and bar facilities (Catering), determining the restaurant menu, the quality and cost of foods and wine, and the running of the kitchens etc. In many ways the minutes of the House and Catering Sub-Committee are the record of a small business.
