Clinical Registers of Patients

Scope and Content

These give details of the patients' names and addresses, their husbands' occupation, any problems with the pregnancy, the confinement, any illness, the child's health, admission and discharge, and are written throughout in one hand, suggesting they had an high level administrative purpose, rather than being records kept upon the wards. These registers sometimes have over-lapping dates: the reason for this is not clear.
