Elsie Shanks worked on the preparation of a Law French dictionary under the aegis of the Selden Society during 1933, supervised by its literary director, Professor T.F.T. Plucknett. She also edited Novae narrationes (London, 1963), a compilation of Anglo-Norman texts with English translations.
