Scope and Content

Preliminary report for the first meeting of the Commission on Occupational Exposure concerning the problem of the effects of occupational exposure to radiation and its effects on the workers introduced by Frank Ellis and containing a statistical analysis of the blood count results of a number of radiation workers. Includes a large file of blood count analyses carried out on radiology workers at various institutions including the Leeds General Infirmary, St Bartholomew's Hospital, Sheffield Radium Centre, Mount Vernon Hospital Northwood, the Free Cancer Hospital, University College Hospital, and the Glasgow Western Infirmary. Patients are identified by their initials only and details are given on their occupation, the institution they work for, the date of first exposure, relevant history, and the details of the series of blood counts undertaken.
