Scope and Content

Correspondence largely with the University Student Health Service and the Radiological Protection Service regarding such issues as procedure for the arrangement of medical examinations, administrative details for the medical supervision of radiation workers, health conditions of specific workers, Wilkinson's continuation in the role of medical referee, reporting of examinations, the report of the medical referee, meeting of the sub-committee, difficulties in connection to registration of laser workers, eye examinations, accidents, and missing medical reports. Other items include a report of a meeting held on 2 Oct 1975 to discuss and accident sustained by a member of the Department of Chemical Engineering whilst using the Helium-Neon Laser Interferometer, copies of the university's health and safety bulletin, and relevant newspaper cuttings. There is also a report by Wilkinson entitled 'Some medical Aspects of Radiation' and a reprint of Geary, C.G., MacIver, J.E. & Wilkinson, J.F., 'Blood Diseases', The British Encyclopaedia of Medical Practice, 1972.
