Chem. III Lectures Vol. 3

Scope and Content

A note in the front of the volume indicates that it was begun on 12 January 1915 but there are no further attempts to either date or number individual lectures. These notes would have formed part of Wilkinson's studies for his B.Sc. in chemistry

Some of the topics covered judging by the headings given include the atomic theory of Dalton, the combination of gaseous substances, the determination of vapour densities, the oxides and oxyacids of chlorine, bromine & iodine, fluorine & hydrochloric acid, vapour density of hydrofluoric acid, nitrogen, derivatives of ammonia, the oxides of nitrogen, sulphur, the chlorides of sulphur, the manufacture of sulphuric acid, and the atomic weight of tellurium.
